One job of the winter of 2008 -09 for the skeppslag was building a flat-bottomed rowing boat.
The pram is a boat type which was in common occurrence up to the 1970’s.
The pram was used primarily as a dinghy for reaching the snipa-boats which lay moored 200 metres off shore. But it was also used for small-fry fishing close into shore.
The significantly larger ‘gill net pram’, of the same type, but 6-7 metres long, was used for laying down and taking up gill nets and stakes.
